Reflections of an shared mind

The worst part of any modern man’s life is accompanying the opposite sex to the shopping centre. I don’t know why but you know the females have this strange attraction in buying all they can see.
Recently i took up the courage of accompanying my lady to the City Centre. Its not far away, just down the street. When I first came to the gulf, my newly found friend would tell me that during summer most of the families spend their time in the malls. And why not when you get free A.c and nobody can ask you to leave(till closing time that is).Well coming back to the main purpose of my writing this.
Oops almost forgot, during the course of this narration their will be two voices one named Krishnan and the other Sridhar. Both are mental extensions of myself. Krishnan is the calculator, the nerd, the silent one whereas Sridhar is totally opposite he is erratic,humour filled, more voiced.
It was typical December weather. Cold winds blowing and the city held this gloomy look. I guess this is how dusk is supposed to look like. I am already late and she is going to kill me. Ah but she knows i have never been on time.
She is smarter than you sridhu, she would have left later.
What did she say she was going to buy? Another stupid question sridhu, they dont need an excuse to buy they go there and decide. You know krish; sometimes i am so happy that dad didn’t give me his credit card. Let me guess sridhu, you would have been in deep water by now if you had to buy all that .How did you guess? There she is. Well she seems to be happy.
"You git, i have been waiting for you for ages"
"ahh homework had to finish it.""Fine!can we go now"
Sridhu lier,lier why you havent touched your books today? you know the
exams are close and still you haven’t studied?
"you are making that weird face again,anyway Can you guess what i am going to
buy today"
"let me guess,carrefour""Yah right,But not a bad idea!""So what are you
buying?""I am going to buy some jewellery".I just stood there for a moment in
total shock.suddenly a voice in me said "Hook,line and sinker".The worst kind
of shopping you can do with a female is jewel hunting.They literally go
through an entire shop and atlast they say "i guess i"ll come later".
Suddenly i cut in and said "Listen ,urgent bathroom."I guess you will have to
shop single today.""you know they have bathrooms at the city center".
I was doomed. Could not have hit me more accurately in between my eyes??
Of all the boyfriends in the world why me?I gradually got over it and accepted
my fate.
Krishy out of nowhere said"Whats the ocassion?"."Ah!finally now you ask!Its
for my aunt in india,She has given me some money to buy her a ring?"."Do you
know her ring size?".Of course ,I am not that lame yopu know."
The rest of the walk was eventless marred only when one of my friends showed
up and put me in a uncomfy position.(They dont know i am seing this girl).
The gold shop opened its doors.THe man at the door was snorting behind my
back.May be i just looked like goat waiting for his turn to heaven.It was her
uncles shop and her uncle took over from here .I was to sit in the shop till
they finalise the thing.Looked like i was going to be here for a long time.

"Sridhu,i hate being here why dont we walk out to the food court.""No man
,sorry voice in the head,i dont think she would be happy about it.lets just
wait ok!""I dont care about her,and this place is going to kill me sooner or
later""Great!Maybe i finally can enjoy some uninterrupted hours on the
comp.".Looking over i see my girl taking a ring and looking hard at it.as
though she thought that it was cracking some where.All i do is wink back and
look down at my watch.At this point she drops the ring and walks back acroos
to me and says"you know you could wait in the food court and i will mwwt you
there?""yipe finally i can survive."I got up and walked to the court and put
my hand in my back pocket to take out my wallet."WEll.thats 20,30,60".i looked
and saw pizza hut there ."lets buy pizza""no, i dont want pizza ,it will make
you fat""but,pizza is fun” Pizza is not fun ,it is food""What ever ,But i want
pizza”. Suddenly there was a nudge "hey"."you done so soon""What did you think
i would spend an entire week ther""A week is too pessimistic".
"Want to eat something?""Yup pizza hut""1-1 That’s an equaliser."
