A Stranger in the Dark
|
I was fishing at Hillsboro Inlet. I didn’t catch s@$t . It was relaxing and I split. I received a call to work on a case in Coral Springs. This case involved a claimant who suffered an injury from a vehicular accident. I expected to receive a case with a typical unattractive woman who just wants a free ticket in life. But this one was different. As soon as I opened the file I melted. WOW! She’s beautiful. A college graduate too. I saw her pics on myspace.
I didn’t have to do this case, but just because of her looks alone I had to. Another investigator was already working it. He needed help with identifying the claimant because the girl he investigated looked like the girl on myspace----but much heavier. It was still her. She just gained a lot more weight than the old pics on myspace revealed. The investigator followed her to a traffic light where he lost her. "Fat B@#$H ran the light and I lost her," he said. This wasn’t the first time he said that about her. He continuously clicked over to my Nextel radio ragging on the girl. What this investigator doesn’t realize is that I have a taste for heavy women. It’s my flavor. And to me, the girl was right up my ally. I have an open mind and I’m not stupid to realize that the poor girl is suffering from extreme depression leading to her weight issue. I video taped over thirty minutes on her in pitch darkness. I followed her all over town to the last stop----a psychiatric hospital. She dropped her mother off there. I just sat back in the darkness of the night filming. Her mother continued screaming at her. Little depressing knowing that after all she’s going through, there’s a stranger in the dark listening, watching, following and recording her every move. The only good thing I saw was some dude about her age riding a cycle who arrived at the hospital. It was her boyfriend. He kissed her and rode by her side from there to her home. At least she has someone close who cares about her.
I filmed a little story yesterday. Oh well, that’s about it. I hope this claimant’s life brightens up. Sometimes this job makes you feel like a spirit watching over people.
