I don't want to receive any more emails from you
You can select what emails you want from your profile. You must be logged on to update your profile, then click "My Profile" in the navigation at the top the page. Don't forget to click the "Update" button whenyou have updated your profile.

Is there any cost involved in using WritersToYou?
None. It is free both to read and to publish texts. But there are some costs involved with running WritersToYou. If you would like to help any donations are appreciated.

I cannot log on
1. Log on by clicking "Logon" in the navigation at the top of the page.
2. Follow the instructions on the page. Be aware that the password is case sensitive.
3. Once you have logged on "Logon" is no longer visible in the navigation but replaced by "Logoff".

I have forgotten my password
Be aware that the password is case sensitive.
Click "Logon" in the navigation at the top of the page and then click the link "retrieve your password" and follow the instructions.

How do I publish a text?
1. To publish a text you need to register. Click "Become a member" in the navigation at the top of the page.
2. Log on by clicking "Logon".
3. Click "Publish" and follow the instructions.

Can I change or delete a text?
No, not at this time. Make sure the texts you publish are finished, correctly spelled etc. In "emergencies" you can always send me an email and I'm usually able to solve most problems, but be prepared that it might take some time before I can help you out.
Don't publish a text that you're not satisfied with. Sorry, I will not honour any requests to remove any of your texts, since this is difficult and time consuming. Be aware that by publishing your text you agree to give WritersToYou the right to publish it indefinitely. Also I cannot control search engines (eg. Google) or internet archives (eg. WaybackMachine) that might also store your text.

What guarantees do I have no one will steal my text?
None. Regardless of where you publish your text, be it in a book, magazine or on the internet, someone could always copy it. Legally you always have the copyright which you could claim if someone should copy your text. Publishing your text at WritersToYou will make your text available to anybody and your name and date of publication will be attached to it.
The only safe alternative is to keep your text in the desk drawer and not show it to anybody. As far as I know WritersToYou is not safer or unsafer than any alternative to publish texts.

Do I keep the copyright when I publish a text?
Yes.

How do I get people to comment my text?
The best way is give constructive comments to other's texts. Also, texts with many readers tend to get more comments.

How can I get on the top5 list on the front page? How do I get more readers?
Your choice of headline and description are important. Don't publish too many texts at the same time. Finished texts tend to get a lot more readers than unfinished or chapters or pieces of a text.
Tell your friends about your texts and link to us if you have a homepage of your own.
